A lifelong resident of the communities served by TCF, Kurt Slenn earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at the University of Delaware and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Kurt is a Certified Public Accountant and a passionate community leader, volunteer, coach, and parent to his own three children as well as to innumerable others.
Kurt's long history of volunteerism in Delaware County encompasses direct programming, governance leadership, and foundation endowment management. A member of the TCF Board of Directors for six years prior to his current role, Kurt spends much of his "spare time" coaching the high school swimming and diving teams at Ridley High School.
Kurt brings a practical leadership — forged in the for-profit world — to the non-profit operations of TCF and oversees all aspects of the foundation's service to our community: from grant-making to hospice programming to outreach efforts to scholarship operations.
Terri Douthett has a long history of service to our community, first as the Membership Director of the Community YMCA of Eastern Delaware County and now as the Operations Manager at TCF, a position in which she has excelled since 2001.
As our versatile "jill-of-all-trades", Terri administers the TCF Scholarship program, coordinates our efforts with our many grantees and community partners, oversees the physical plant of the TCF offices and Taylor Hospice residence, spearheads the installation and maintenance of our technology infrastructure, and brings new meaning to the phrase, "other duties as assigned".
Outside the office, Terri volunteers her time with local animal rescue organizations and "dabbles" in photography — in fact, many of the pictures on our web site are the result of Terri's photographic skills.
Maureen McKellar has over 12 years of community-based service, ranging from the Community YMCA of Eastern Delaware County to serving as financial secretary for the Executive Board of the Leedom Elementary School PTO.
The newest member of the TCF team, Maureen develops and manages such community involvement opportunities as Health Awareness Day and the very popular Teddy Bear Checkups.
Maureen is very involved in local school and community activities and has chaired multiple fundraising programs. In her spare time, Maureen also volunteers as a homeroom parent and on the parent stage crew.
